Occupational Therapy - Constraint induced Movement Therapy (CiMT)

CiMT focuses on forcing the use of the affected hand whilst restraining the unaffected hand (hand placed in a mitt). It is a 2 week course, four hours each day. The activities are repetitive and timed.

STROKE RECOVERY REHAB | NEW TECHNOLOGY | “NEUBIE”

Over the last few weeks, I have been trialling a new device called NEUBIE. I am recovering from a stroke which left me partially paralysed on the left hand side of the body. NEUBIE is an electrical stimulation device. Used correctly, it is a great method for NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION. In a very short period of time, I have noticed rapid improvement in : strength, range of movement and finger manipulation. This video is a snapshot of the last 2 weeks trialling the NEUBIE. Thank you to my wonderful Exercise Physiologist, Jana, for her ongoing belief and support.
